Blogging Tips - Blogger Atlas

Recently, I posted an article on how to make a blog and had various posts on how to improve your blog's traffic. As I was surfing through FamousBloggers, I found out an article that provides and in depth article for bloggers like me who are just starting

I just read the file and it sure was eye opening and astounding, and I have not finished reading it yet! Although I can say that some of the tips provided there are already a habit of mine, tons of it were unknown to me. I found it very helpful to read on it, and did I mention it was FREE? And oh, you can download it here all it takes is just a few steps and they'll provide you with the file.

I have been blogging for almost two months now, but I still found this article, Blogger Atlas, to still provide

How to - HTML code on posts

When I started making 'How-to' blog posts, I've noticed that whenever I paste in an HTML code, it gets messed up. So, I tried taking a screen shot of the code and pasting it to the blog post. But later on, I figured that it takes too long to do that.
Here's an example what I'm trying to say. If you copy and paste this code to your blog post:
 so.addVariable("tcolor", "0x333333");
Sometimes, it would appear like this:
so.addVariable(&";tcolor&";, ";0x333333&";);
Thus, your reader's wouldn't be able to put in the correct code. Sometimes the HTML would simply appear on the way you don't want it to appear.
And yes, there is very simple solution. You'll just have to quote the HTML code. Here's how:
  1. On you blog's post editor, paste your HTML code:
  2. Then Select ALL of the HTML code:
  3. Finally, just hit on the quote button at the top portion of your post editor.
  4. Once done with the content of your post. You can either 'Preview' or 'Publish' your post.
Hope that was helpful! If you have any questions, comments, or requests, just throw them at me and I'll be doing my best to resolve your concerns!

    Alexa finally updated! Did yours?

Finally! Alexa has updated it's rankings! Here's a statement from their site:

This is a known issue, and we're resolving it. We're still tracking new traffic data, but there was a delay to the update in the graphs.

This is being fixed: yesterday, the Traffic Ranks were stuck on Aug 4, and they are currently on Aug 6, and moving forward.

    We apologize for the inconvenience.
I do hope this is permanently fixed. And by the way, my site's Alexa rank updated and thankfully, it rose(yey!), did your site's Alexa rank already update?

    How to - UNrestrict Bandwidth

The title text area is pretty short, so what I'm trying to say is how you could maximize the bandwidth of your internet connection for your pc or laptop.
By default, Microsoft reserves the 20% of your available bandwidth for it's own 'secret' purposes, speculations say that it's probably for updates or checking up on your machine, we never know. Anyways, here's how you could get it back:

    1. First, go to run and type: gpedit.msc

Is your Alexa rank not updating?

A lot have been wondering lately why the our Alexa ranks have barely flinched for this past few days. Tons of bloggers and site owners rely on Alexa rankings. Many advertisers also rely on a site's Alexa rank.
As I was searching the forums on the net, I found that this incident has already happened previously.
    Here's Alexa's explanation:
We're having a graphical display update issue, and are working on it. Our team should have

I have previously discussed in my previous post the difference between Google PR and Alexa Rankings as well as it's importance in promoting and letting the web world about the existence of your site. For this post, I'll discuss how you could increase your visitors, followers and readers.

When I started my blog last July 1st, my Alexa ranking was about 25 million-ish. My Alexa ranking for the blog's first month(August 1st) soared to 3,466,553. So, how is there a magic trick? No, it's pure work. As one of the seasoned bloggers I knew told me that the secret to a blog's success is 'hard work'. Pretty vague, but it's all true, every single bit of it.

Here's my definition of hard work when it comes to blogging:

    1. Don't just post anything. Post something worth reading. Put your heart

Due to popular demand, I'll be showing you how to add a floating Alexa review banner for your blogger blog. The usual way is to post through with the use of blogger's "HTML/Javascript" gadget, it'll be a static logo. What I'm about to show you is how to create a floating link just like how it's showed in the upper left portion of my blog.

    Page Ranks

There are generally two types of page ranking(PR), Google PR and Alexa PR. What are they so important? Why you ask? This how advertisers look for sites to advertise. The higher your Google PR, the better your Alexa PR, the more advertisement you receive for your site and the more expensive they are. In short, these major factors decide what your site's revenue will be.

    Google Page Rank

    Google defines it as:

PageRank reflects our view of the importance of web pages by considering more than 500 million variables and 2 billion terms. Pages that we believe are important pages receive a higher PageRank and are more likely to appear at the top of the search results.
